The founder and managing partner of Zehetner Patentanwältin, Dr. Andrea Zehetner, is a German and European patent and trademark attorney.

Dr. Zehetner has particular experience in advising on complex matters, in particular in the development and implementation of national and international IP strategies, in the management of complex patent portfolios, in the preparation of due diligence analyses, validity and infringement opinions, in the drafting and negotiation of technology contracts, and in the field of the German Employee Invention Act.

She is involved as an expert in the innovation network Katerva and servces on the board of women in ip e.V. since 2016. As a guest lecturer and keynote speaker, she regularly lectures at various universities and at numerous professional events.

Dr. Andrea Zehetner

Active in the field of intellectual property law since 2002. Professional representative before the European Patent Office and before the European Trademark and Design Office (EUIPO).

Worked as an in-house patent attorney in research-focused multinationals and innovative mid-sized companies. Responsibility for development projects, commercial products as well as technology and licensing agreements.

Special experience in advising on complex matters, in particular the development and implementation of national and international IP strategies, in the management of complex patent portfolios, the preparation of due diligence analyses, validity and infringement opinions, the drafting and negotiation of technology agreements, and in the field of the German Employee Invention Act.

Since 2014 guest lecturer on patent strategy, e.g. at RWTH Aachen University, TU Hamburg-Harburg, or the Maastricht School of Management

Member of EPI, FICPI and LES. As a member of the board of women in ip e.V. she promotes the networking of female professionals in the IP sector. She further serves as an advisor to the entrepreneurship network KATERVA.

M.Sc. in Chemistry and Ph.D. in Biophysics from the Ludwigs-Maximilians-University, Munich.
